Rates and Terms of Payment
Standard payment plan. Straightforward editing projects such as basic copyediting are billed at a flat rate. The author will pay a deposit up front when signing our author-editor agreement; the balance will be due when the author receives the edited manuscript.
Pay-as-you-go. Long-term projects such as developmental editing are billed at an hourly rate. The author will receive an invoice as each phase of the work is completed, which will be payable upon receipt.
Email correspondence and videoconferencing. There will be no charge for e-mail communication during our work on your book manuscript. As a courtesy to authors, I also offer follow-up online conferences free of charge for the rounds of editing.
Invoices are payable online via PayPal, Zelle, or Wise (outside the U.S.A.)
